A maker of things
I thrive at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and community, building ventures that turn innovation into everyday impact.
By day, I help nonprofits and mission-driven organizations think bigger and work smarter through Cadence Foresight Innovations Inc., my consulting firm specializing in leadership, program design, and evaluation. By night (and whenever inspiration strikes), I create—whether it’s food, art, handmade goods, or engaging content that adds beauty, function, and joy to the world.
Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Burundi, Kenya, and Canada, I bring a global lens to everything I do.
I specialize in helping people and projects navigate complexity, harness their strengths, and create lasting impact.
With a career spanning social innovation, entrepreneurship, public policy, grassroots community development, international development, and workforce planning, I’ve tackled some of today’s most pressing economic and social challenges. I’ve held senior leadership roles, collaborating across private, public, and nonprofit sectors to address wicked problems both locally and globally. As an entrepreneur, I’ve co-founded numerous ventures, including two in healthcare and another in business incubation—projects that continue to thrive today.
I studied Political Science at Concordia University and Project Management at Ryerson University and later Strategic Foresight & Innovation at OCAD University. As a trained process facilitator, developmental evaluation practitioner, and social innovation professional, I believe in deep learning through experience. I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in transformative programs such as the Innovation Leadership program at the University of Waterloo’s Institute for Social Innovation Resilience (Haida Gwaii), the Social Innovation Residency at the Banff Centre, and the Indigenous Art Intensive at the University of British Columbia Kelowna, among others.
I’m also a Social Finance Award nominee and an RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award recipient.
I’ve spent over two decades working with mission-driven organizations, helping them grow, adapt, and create meaningful impact in their communities. My passion lies in empowering leaders, designing innovative programs, and strengthening organizations so they can thrive, even in the face of challenges.
I’ve always believed that nonprofits are at their best when they embrace creativity, strategy, and adaptability. That’s why I founded Cadence Foresight Innovations Inc.—to support organizations in thinking outside the box, aligning their strategies with their missions, and making decisions that lead to long-term success. Whether it’s helping leaders step into their full potential, designing programs that truly make a difference, or developing data-driven approaches to measure impact, I love working alongside passionate changemakers who want to take their work to the next level.
Over the years, I’ve worked across different sectors—education, workforce development, community health, and advocacy—guiding nonprofits through leadership transitions, capacity-building initiatives, and program redesigns. I know firsthand that the nonprofit world is rewarding but tough, and I thrive on helping organizations navigate complexity with confidence. My goal is always to make things clearer, more efficient, and more impactful—so that leaders can focus on what truly matters: serving their communities.
Some have called me a modern Renaissance woman, and I like to think they’re onto something. When I’m not consulting, I’m fully immersed in experimenting, creating, and lifelong learning. As a content creator, homemaker, and aspiring hybrid athlete, I document my journey—whether it’s mastering a new recipe, tackling the 75 Hard challenge, picking up my violin, or making progress in my latest language-learning adventure. I also have a deep love for gardening, photography, and building a life infused with creativity and exploration.
I call Dundas, Ontario, home—a beautiful valley town on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishnaabeg—where I live with my husband and son. Around here, we’re always up to something, whether it’s launching a new project, chasing a big idea, or simply discovering the magic in everyday life.
